How To make Origami 6 Point Star:

Step 1:

Use single side paper for the model. Cut two equilateral triangles of the same size.

Step 2:

Fold the triangle in half. Make creases and unfold. Repeat this for the three sides of the triangle.

Step 3:

Fold each side towards the center point of the triangle. Repeat this for all the three sides of the triangle. Unfold.

Step 4:

You will have creases at the three sides as shown here.

You can see that a diamond shaped crease is formed at each corner of the triangle.

Step 5:

Fold each corner inwards along the diamond crease to form a small triangle.

Step 6:

Repeat the above step for all the sides of the paper.

Step 7:

Flip the model.

Along the crease made in Step 4, fold in each side.

Step 8:

Once you’ve folded for all the three sides, check if each side is above one adjacent side’s fold and below one. This will make the folds remain intact.

Step 9:

Bring the corners towards the center point, fold to make crease.

Step 10:

Flip the model.

Step 11:

Fold along the crease seen at each side.

Step 12:

Once all the sides are folded, you will have this model. Here again, keep the folds locked by ensuring that each side is above one adjacent side’s fold and below one.

Make one more such unit. Flip.

Insert one unit in the other as shown.

Once all the three sides are inserted into the sockets, the star is completed.

I just wish I had used a better paper for this tutorial :( .

This star can be used to make ornaments and decor for Hanukkah and Christmas.
