How to Make Origami Lilies

This is a step by step tutorial showing how make origami lilies with a piece of paper. The steps are quite simple.

How To:

Step 1:

Take a square piece of paper. Preferably colored on one side.

Step 2:

Make horizontal and vertical creases along the center of the paper.

Step 3:

Flip the paper and fold diagonally. Make a crease and unfold.

Step 4:

Using the diagonal creases at the bottom, fold the paper as shown.

Step 5:

Flatten the top triangle.

Step 6:

Make a fold bringing the right side of the triangle towards the center.

Step 7:

Flatten.

Step 8:

Make a crease and unfold.

Step 9:

Along the crease made, make a triangle at the front.

Step 10:

Repeat the step for each side (4 sides of the model).

Step 11:

Bring the right pointed corner towards the center crease.

Step 12:

Repeat step 11 for the other side.

Step 13:

Make a firm crease and unfold.

Step 14:

Repeat steps 11 to 13 for the remaining 3 sides of the model.

Step 15:

Lift the bottom triangle flap towards the top of the upper triangle. Using the crease, flatten the paper.

Step 16:

Repeat the above step for all the other sides.

Step 17:

Bring down the upper triangle (only for the top layer) and flatten.

Step 18:

Repeat the above step for the other 3 sides. Your model would now look like this.

Step 19:

Turn the model such that the open part is at the top.

Step 20:

Fold the top layer bringing the right edge of this rhombus towards the center crease. Repeat for the left side.

Step 21:

Like before, repeat this step for the other sides.

Step 22:

Gently bring down the top part of each side to open up the petals.

Its done!

You can attach a stem made of straw or a string to arrange a set of lilies in a vase.
